This is an great practice that is going to help people build their confidence and get their dreams accomplished just as they have always believed. There are some things that you will have to accomplish in order to make the Law of Attraction work right for you and your needs.

Once you are familiar with the Law of Attraction you will want to apply it to all of your everyday needs. You want to make certain that you are staying ahead of the game with the various ways that the Law of Attraction can help you and get you to where you have always longed to be with the confidence to be sturdy as a rock.

Simple Self Improvement Exercises Anyone Can Do

There are an infinite number of self improvement exercises you can do. And there isn't one task that works best for everyone. As a Personal Life Coach I've come up with dozens of exercises for my clients, most of which come to me while I'm coaching someone. It all depends on the situation and the awareness the client needs to get in order to move forward.

I recommend these simple exercises to all of my clients because they work and they work for life.

You must remember that in any self improvement exercise, you will be involved in your own process. There are two essential processes: the positive and the negative. Make sure that your focus is on the positive processes to keep your energy high and your heart open.

Write down 5 acknowledgements a day. Let go of your expectations of what goals you are supposed to achieve or what defines a risk to you. If it is risky to smile at 3 strangers a day and you smiled at 2, then acknowledge yourself! All progress is progress. Keep a log of it and be proud!

Be grateful. It works. Write down 5 things you were grateful for every day. Here's the challenge: those gratitudes must be about the challenges you faced that day: from the surly checkout clerk (I'm grateful for all of the money I saved using coupons) to the flat tire on the interstate (I'm grateful it was a sunny mild day). By focusing on the gifts or the lessons presented in your challenges, you become more and more attune to them as they happen.

It is important to write out at least 5 gratitudes and acknowledgements a day. These daily drops of positivity will become an ocean of energy that you live in. Your confidence will swell and you'll feel more connected to yourself and all that is in your life.

Find your true motivation. When you have a goal or desire in mind, ask yourself: "If I had this, what would I have?" And then ask yourself again: "If I had that, then what would I have?" Repeat this until you have gotten to the true desire. That desire becomes your intention you can return to again and again to keep you committed.

Hypnosis - How Can I Hypnotize Others?

Hypnosis is simply a state of mind of heightened suggestibility or the willingness to follow instructions. It can also be thought of as a state of focused concentration or trance.

The main idea of hypnosis is to create a suggestible state of mind in the subject. And then implants the desired suggestions. Many times, you do not want someone to realize they are being hypnotized.

Hypnosis works best when the subject is relaxed and free of tension. It is helpful, if they are in a comfortable atmosphere and relaxed state of mind.

If the subject knows they are being hypnotized, you can ask for their cooperation. Have them try to recognize any tension in their body and begin relaxing. Tell them to focus on places where they are tense and begin a mental effort to relax those areas.

If you are trying to hypnotize someone without their knowledge, you can still try and make them relaxed and reduce any tension. Insure that there are no obvious distractions, like loud noises or bright lights.

An Exciting New Experience as A Lucid Dreamer

So you want to lucid dream. Well that's a good start, at least you know what you want to do; but how exactly do you go about it?

Knowing why you have chosen to pursue lucid dreaming is important. How can it benefit ou personally? To know this we can work backwards from what it considered normal sleep.

When you go to sleep, you get into bed, close your eyes for a certain length of time, and either dream or just see black for a few hours and then wake up! It isn't very interesting now is it?

Normal sleep just seems to serve the purpose of simply refreshing ourselves in order to live out the next day. But what if you could control that period of time that you have dreams?

Consider the idea of taking control of your own dreams. What would it feel like to purpose what direction your dreams would take you? Explore new worlds that are only limited to your control and imagination. This is what it means to be a lucid dreamer, kind of the ultimate fantasy world where you call all the shots.

If you want to become a lucid dreamer, there are two major ways to accomplish it. The first way is called DILD, or dream-initiated lucid dream. That's when you're in the process of having a dream, realize that it's happening, and retain your sense of consciousness inside the dream.

The second method is called WILD, and stands for wake-initiated lucid dream. This is when you start out awake and fall asleep, but do not experience a change in consciousness levels. This is the process of simply entering a dream, the same way you'd walk through a door, instead of waking up inside the dream.

So what are the actual methods used to induce these two types of lucid dream experiences?

Dream Recall

If you'd like to lucid dream, perhaps one of the most successful way of doing so is known as dream recall. Dream recall is simply the ability to remember one's dreams. By remembering your dreams, you are able to recognize them when you are sleeping, because most likely, you will have the same dream, or at least aspects of it, more than once.

The way to practise dream recall is by keeping a dream journal. The dream journal is meant as a tool to write down anything you can remember about your dream, in order to recall it for the future. This should be done right after waking up; otherwise dreams will become harder to remember.

Mnemonic Induction of Lucid Dreams (MILD)

Developed by Dr. Stephen LaBerge the idea is to tell your self to recall an object or situation from your dreams, before you go to sleep. You can look back to your dream journal for an example of a recurring them like a pink haired woman. Anything that when you see it in your dream will tell you that you are in fact dreaming.

Wake-Back-to-Bed (WBTB)

The process here is to go to sleep, doing nothing but setting your alarm to wake you up a few hours later (5 or 6). Once you wake up, DO NOT go back to sleep. Instead, do something else like read for a while, or think as much as you can about lucid dreaming for around an hour then go back to bed.

In studies done this method has 60% of the time. When you are interrupted in the middle of sleep, you are interrupting rapid eye movement sleep. This is the time when dreams are the most active. Therefore, you stop in the middle of your best dreamtime only to return to sleep a short time later, improving your chances of entering lucid dream state.

Cycle Adjustment Technique

This was created by Daniel Love, and what it is, is setting your alarm to wake you up an hour and a half before your normal time. Once you've adjusted to waking up early, alternate your alarm to wake you up normally and early. During times you are to wake up normally, you're body will already be ready to wake up early, and therefore, you will be likely to be awake in your dream.

Wake-initiation of Lucid Dreams (WILD)

This method was described before. If you would like to achieve a lucid dream this way, all you have to do is to keep your mind awake while you body falls asleep. This is perhaps the most interesting way of entering a lucid dream. It is as if you are getting ready to watch a movie. You are in the real world, you sit on your couch, you turn on the TV and press play (starting to sleep), the screen is black (in the same way as when your eyes are closed), and all you have to do is wait for the movie to actually start.

Several ways to stay aware but not awake include imagining descending or going up stairs, chanting, counting, breathing control, counting your breaths, and relaxing your body from head to toe. This all falls under self hypnosis. Don't do this when you're tired, or you'll simply fall unconscious.

Technology has moved on in recent years, and there are various devices like dreaming masks and other scientific appliances which contain such things as strobe lights to induce lucid dreams.

The most reliable and easiest way of inducing a lucid dream may be listening to binaural beats sound frequencies through headphones.

The sounds bring the two sides of the brain in synch. Your brainwaves are then converted to REM waves the time during sleep when you dream and the frequency at which lucid dreams occur.

With self-hypnosis and a conscious preparedness before you go to sleep anyone can practice lucid dreaming. - 14682

Cross Words and Jigsaw Puzzles

Do you ever feel like your life is a big jigsaw puzzle, but someone forgot to provide the box with the picture on it? Or maybe your life is a 1,000-piece puzzle, but they gave you 2,000 pieces? Or worst of all, it's 1,000 piece puzzle, and you only have 999 pieces! That frustrating missing piece!

When you concentrate on any of these scenarios, it takes the fun out of doing a puzzle - and it can lead to a lot of "cross words!"

So, how can we heighten our spiritual consciousness and deal with the puzzles life brings us by paying attention to crossword and jigsaw puzzles as metaphors? Believe it or not, there are at least three important lessons we can learn!

1. Keep Your Focus on Your Purpose!

We remember how a good friend of ours misunderstood Bil's love for jigsaws and gave him this insanely difficult puzzle. It was nothing but shades of red that made a solid mass of merging colors. Initially, we tried working itand it adorned our puzzle table for several days, frustrating us. All of a sudden, one of us got the incredible brainstorm: "Why are we struggling with this stupid puzzle anyway? Just because she gave it to us doesn't mean we have to work on it!"

We had gotten off purpose! We were focusing on the frustrating puzzle rather than remembering our purpose was enjoyment, relaxation, and fun!

You cannot imagine the joy and fun we had as we separated the few pieces we'd managed to piece together and throw them back into the box!

So, what does this have to do with our spiritual growth? Well, the same thing happens in life all the time. Generally, 'cross words' are a signal to us that we have misplaced our focus and attention. We allow little issues, other people's words to irritate us get us and cause us to get off focus.

We find ourselves complaining about things, holding grudges against people, or spinning our wheels and getting mired down in trivial matters. We fail to 'let our light shine,' to be the BEST Christ we can be! Keeping our focus on our purpose in life helps us handle the puzzles life tosses at us!

2. Strengthen Your Spirit Connection by "putting in the time"

With jigsaw puzzles, we call it putting in "Puzzle Time." We actually created that term. It means that the way you get better and better at doing puzzles is by spending time doing them! We apply a variation of the term to other areas in life,

For example, in dancing, we refer to it as "floor time." During practice, you learn how to navigate through missed steps or crowded floors, so when the competition comes, you can call on that instinctive ability and use it in the moment! Every sport or profession has a name for it: ice time; hoop time; pulpit time. It's the time invested in honing your craft.

In the training discipline, it gives you the confidence to stand in front of a group, knowing you will be able to handle whatever happens. For example, we were recently booked for a keynote and a breakout session. The size of the breakout was going to be limited so that a small group could roll up their sleeves and really get into the keynote topic. Consequentially, we planned an extremely interactive session, with activities for around 25 people.

The moderator for the session got confused, and forgot to limit the group size, and we ended up with nearly 80 people! On the spot, we had to redesign our entire action plan, to be able to accommodate the new group size.

We were able to accomplish it, because we had "facilitator time" under our belts. We knew a lot of techniques, and could call upon them at the drop of a hat - but only because we had put in the time to learn and develop those skills. It's not magic - it's properly-laid groundwork.

With life experiences, it's the same thing. If you only turn to prayer and meditation when you are in the midst of a dire need, you may be unhappy with the results you get.

When we put time in the Silence (spend time at headquarters), on a daily basis, we are creating spirit equity! We are strengthening the skills we need, and when the situation calls for it, we are able to call upon those skills at a moment's notice, when life experiences place us in a situation where we need them!

For example, when we are faced with the appearance of lack, we can instantaneously refuse to give power to lack (use denials) so that lack has no power over us. We can instantly connect with Divine Substance, knowing we do not have to fear lack at all, because all we ever need is already available for us to call on. But we can't use this technique unless we have done the 'Heart Time' and the 'Silence Time by 'developing and strengthening our connection with Divine Substance.

Take a deep breath!

3. Now for the most important lesson we can learn from the world of puzzles! Imagine that you wanted to play a serious practical joke on your puzzle-loving friend. As you work with him or her on a difficult jigsaw puzzle, you very quietly, very secretly take away one of the pieces, and hide it. Then you continue to work on the puzzle. Sure enough, at some point, your friend is going to say; "I know this piece should be easy to spot. I just can't find it." You help them out, but you are not worried, because you know where the missing piece is!

That's the difference in the way people choose to deal with life's situations, be they health challenges, appearances of lack or limitation, seemingly unfair circumstances, relationship issues that are less than joyful, or any of the other things that hit our path on our life journey.

When we stand in Truth and walk our talk, we can face anything with total confidence and step out on faith, because we know where the missing "peace" is. It's spelled P-E-A-C-E, and it comes from that strong connection with Spirit. And that comes in only one way: putting God first in everything we do.

Jesus taught us this when He said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." What this means is to spend time in the Silence (prayer). Ideally, we can LIVE connected, always knowing we have the PEACE that seems to be missing for other people.

When you know how to handle the puzzles of daily life with confidence and joy, you are able to:

* Keep your focus on your purpose;
* Strengthen your Christ Connection by putting in the time; and,
* above all else, you can live with the confidence of knowing that you always have the missing PEACE!

Manifesting A New Life With The Cosmic Ordering Service

Thanks to a recent spike in publicity, the last few years have seen an ever growing number of people showing an interest in the cosmic ordering service. Additionally, many are now realizing the potential benefits.

It seems that everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon now that so many celebrities are vouching for it. The question remains though, what are your chances of success as an average person?

In fact theoretically it works for everyone, but people who have not been successful do not realize that they are subconsciously sabotaging their cosmic order. You see whatever you think will happen really does happen!

When you make affirmations, think to the future and how perfect it can be, rather than dwell on the imperfect present moment.

As we embark on our journey through life, our beliefs are often influenced by other people as well as different experiences. When we first started out in this life, we believed in ourselves and that all things were possible and now, we need to believe like that once more.

Right from birth, children are continuously taught just how wrong it is to want too much, or even how wrong it is to get too much. The fact is though, if this was a perfect world, our parents would have taught us that we do in fact deserve everything we want, without having to make huge sacrifices.

Always saying that we should count our blessings is wrong. Why should we settle for practically nothing? After all, there's more than enough for everyone. In fact, there's so much, it could stretch to the edge of infinity.

If you look around yourself, be happy for those who have more than you because really, it further strengthens the argument that there is enough wealth for all. Don't begrudge others, because in so doing, you'll only be reinforcing your own negative thoughts, once again directing focus to the negative rather than the positive.

Does positive thinking really make a difference? Yes, and to stress that point, lets not forget that scientific studies have proven the human brain creates waves of energy capable of moving a quark, the smallest physical particle known to man.

Changing old patterns and beliefs isn't as easy as reciting a few phrases. You need to clear out the old beliefs that you've held for years. They hang in your mind with a firm hold unless you use the tools available to clear them away.

Fret not because there are indeed some very powerful tools at our disposal. Subliminal suggestion and self-hypnosis are just two of them but indeed, both are extremely powerful, as both target our subconscious minds, the area of our minds on which we need to focus. Successful Chakra Balance with Soundwaves, Food and Gemstones

If you want to learn about the concept of chakra balance you have to understand chakra's in general first. Chakras are our energy stations or centers. Chakras are your openings in your body for life energy to flow in and out of your aura.

You may wonder what the chakras look like. While researching you will find that chakras have a funnel like appearance, with even smaller funnels spinning within the larger funnel. Chakras have a similar appearance of the lotus flower.

In all there are seven chakras in everyone's body. Each has a specific color that is associated with the individual chakras. We will learn the physical location of each chakra too, and the benefits of chakra balance and how it enhances our life and relieves so much of the stress that you feel.

There are seven chakra's starting from the base of your spine and ending at your head. They are the root chakra, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye or brow and ending at the crown chakra.

There are numerous and assorted foods that aid in achieving a chakra balance that are helpful in grounding and re-energizing for each chakra center.

The root chakra finds benefit from eating tofu, carrots, beans, potatoes, meats, parsnips, eggs, radishes, garlic and beets.

Sacral Chakra: Almonds, cinnamon, honey, mangos, melons, strawberries and many others.

For you solar plexus chakra, this will help with self-esteem, try eating flax seed, cereal, milk, cheeses, ginger, mints, and others.

The heart chakra benefits by eating thyme, sage, spinach, basil, broccoli and green teas, since they encourage the healing of emotional upsets.

Throat Chakra: Apples, kiwi, lemons, lemon grass, limes, plums, pears and salt, since these foods and spices aid in speaking your truth.

Brow Chakra: Black berries, blueberries, lavender, poppy seeds and red grapes encourage the awakening of the sense of the third eye.

Finally to aid in opening, cleansing and balancing the crown chakra, you will find such incense as frankincense, copal, sage, juniper and myrrh, as they are beneficial in enhancing spiritual communications.

This of course, is a partial list of the foods, spices and drinks that are beneficial to the chakra centers, however, to gain a proper chakra balance, you must learn to focus on your own chakra centers.

You can also do a chakra balance by using gemstones and placing the gemstone on each chakra point, with each point you can do an individual chakra balance and leave a gemstone on your chakra for three to five minutes depending on the amount of balance you feel you need to accomplish. You would start at the root chakra when doing this.

You may choose to use any type of gemstone, however, you should be aware that some individuals recommend particular gemstones for each chakra center, although the choice of gemstone may vary from one individual to another. You can easily test the theory by alternating gemstones until you find your perfect match. You may notice a humming once you have your gemstones in place on your chakras, or perhaps a feel good feeling when utilizing the best gemstones. If you experience any negative feelings, or the gemstone just does not feel right, remove it and do not use it for chakra work at all.

After experimenting with various gemstones, you will find the perfect gemstone that feels good to you. Once you find the best gemstone for your use, you should make a list of the gemstone you use as well as the chakra you use it on. For instance, some individuals may use a lapis lazuli for the throat chakra, however if it is not comfortable for you, it is not the best gemstone to use on your chakras. Three Important Questions - Understanding Your Life Goals

Have you set life goals for yourself in an attempt to make life meaningful? If you're someone with a keen ambition to succeed in life you'd probably have read up on achieving your life goals the SMART way, or rather, making them Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Bound.

If you ask anyone who has had experience with succeeding in achieving their goals, they would tell you that the above five are the most important elements in goal-setting. They can provide a very comprehensive understanding of your own life goals, and help you understand if they're realistic enough for you to achieve given the capabilities and resources you have on hand.

Not all goals are one-size-fits-all. Our life goals should be tailor-made to our own capabilities and personalities. In order for you to fully understand your life goals, you need to ask yourself these three important questions:

1. Are the goals challenging for you?

Think about it for a second. If you've already been taking the actions required of you and if you're comfortable with them, shouldn't you already achieve your goals by now? A challenging goal motivates us to constantly improve ourselves, to keep up with the pace that is required of us to get to that goal over the horizon. The goal should make you work for it; in fact it should force you to make some changes in your life. Remember, for any goal worth setting there should be changes worth making, and at the end of the day your journey towards your goal should be a big part of your personal development. Your goal should eventually make you a better person by the end of your journey.

2. Are you inspired by the goals?

Your goals should inspire you just as they should challenge you. Those who have succeeded in attaining their goals in life would often tell you that they were inspired by something, and that something is usually the goal that they were after. Some have even been inspired enough to sacrifice the most precious things to them personally in order for them to achieve their goals. Your goals should not cast you into a depressed state of mind, not even when you fail to achieve them. If you find yourself depressed by your goals then perhaps it may be high time for you to rethink your strategies or even your goals. Re-evaluate your goals and go for something that is just as challenging, but ones that inspire you to do better.

3. Is there anyone who can help?

There's no sugarcoating it. People are going to critique you on your goals. They will tell you that you can't do it, that you're not cut out for it, that you'll never attain your goals. Sure, some may do it with the best intentions because they don't want to see you get hurt when you stumble in your journey, but here's the thing you should do: Don't listen to them! Remember, your stamina for your journey is going to be composed of mostly self-motivation, so if you're going to allow outside influence to affect your motivation, you'll lack that extra drive to push onward for that final lap. Sometimes people fail to achieve their goals because they allow others to plant the seeds of doubt in them. Remove yourself from the doubters, and find people who have attained a similar goal as the one you're pursuing. Get the advice you need from them, let their success inspire your own. They've been there, done that, so they understand the trials and tribulations that you may be going through.

Many times the beliefs you have in something are not always true and this can lead to your mindset being fixed in a certain way.

There are numerous effective strategies that you can use for helping to shift your mindset and so that you gain a more positive attitude. It is with a positive mindset things in life can be handled much better and a person often feels much happier and satisfied with themselves and their lives.

Sometimes a certain situation or person is going to affect our lives in such a way that this has an effect on the way we think and our mindset. We block areas of our mind off to avoid this which in turn prevents us in creating or interpreting any new ideas or thoughts.

One effective strategy to use that can help shift your mindset is for you to focus on your strengths (abilities and capabilities) rather than those things you cannot do. Not only will this help you to excel in everything you do in life but will help with changing your mindset as well.

It is up to you entirely when it comes to changing your mindset. For example if you want to change your mindset with regards to your career then you need to focus more on the good parts of the job and what it has to offer. You need to break through the barriers in your mind and allow yourself time to explore any new areas or possibilities that your life can offer to you.

If you have certain goals you want to reach and your mindset is fixed in a certain way, being able to achieve these can prove more difficult. It can be difficult with so many thoughts in the day - everything from remembering to water the plant to putting the toilet seat down - to consistently toss a chunk of those thoughts at your goals and dreams.

Here is a trick to help you think, feel and visualize your goal on a regular basis; make your passwords your most desired dream. How many times do you have to log into your email, bank account or onto Ebay? Instead of having some frivolous word to think about, make all of your passwords relate to your desires.

Instead of typing "happyskunklove" as your password, type "president of XYZ company" or "Iamslinder&sexy". Instead of typing "bigfootfart", type "mastersdegree" or "Iamalwayshealthy". When you type in your passion, this is the perfect opportunity to use some of those 60,000 thoughts to forge your dreams into reality. Actually see yourself for a split second accomplishing your goal. Go ahead and let yourself feel the excitement and joy of already having what you most desire.

I used to always type in "kissingpenguins" as my password for most of my accounts. After realizing that I was wasting a thought on the image of two penguins kissing (strange, I know). I decided to then change all my passwords to "myownpirateship" (possibly even stranger). I have always wanted to have my own pirate ship in my backyard. It isn't there yet, but will be some day!

Overcoming Insecurities? Not Sure What To Do?

Are you overcoming insecurities and unsure of what to do?

Well, first thing, stop being unsure!

When overcoming your insecurities, things may get really difficult, and it can make us even more overwhelmed and insecure than we were to begin! Sound like we're acting in vain here?

No, absolutely not.

When you are actively working on overcoming your insecurities, it's kind of like cleaning out a really, really nasty garage.

At the very beginning, you feel overwhelmed when you face what you have to clear out.

You start tossing stuff around (realizing your insecurities) and you begin feeling like there's no way you'll ever get through everything.

You feel like you should quit, but you keep on pushing.

Over time, things get even more messy than they ever were, and you feel like you're worse than you were before you started!

In reality, you are close to tossing out the trash (overcoming insecurities), and you just need a little more clearing out. You must give yourself time to sort out the rest of the trash, and put everything where it needs to be.

You notice you have a lot of amazing things hidden in that unnecessary debris and clutter, but it was all buried because you had not yet taken on the mission of overcoming your insecurities.

Overcoming insecurities will take you on a journey that will end in the place that you are at now.

But you'll be a better, more assured person.

The first step in overcoming your insecurities is acknowledging what the insecurities actually are.

Could it be that you don't think you're the type of person that deserves a good job?

Do you have trouble imagining that girl, or guy, being interested in someone like you?

What insecurities do you have to overcome before you can feel good about yourself?

Ask yourself that, and listen quietly for the answer. Don't worry. I can wait.

Once you acknowledge that insecurity, decide to yourself at that moment that you will be plowing right through it.

Overcoming insecurities is one thing, but facing it and acknowledging that it DOES NOT have any power over you is a force ten times stronger.

You won't need to do anything crazy, but you'll have to get uncomfortable at times.

If you are in a state of comfort, you aren't growing, and you are not overcoming those insecurities at all.

Overcoming insecurities is like a newborn taking their first few steps.

How many babies have you seen give up because they were uncomfortable walking their first time?

How many times do they fail before they actually succeed?

Too many right?

And still, they keep trying until they've got it down pat. Then they learn to speak. Then they learn. And then, they overcome insecurities.

Insecurities are a giant part of your ego.

Now, I don't like to think that the ego is a part of me.

I wonder if the ego is some sort of toxic by product of people that have yet to overcome their own insecurities, and they somehow whisper their foul suggestions to us.

What do I mean exactly?

Imagine that you desire a car. If you have a desire for that car because it is truly what YOU want, that is just you wanting a car.

If you want that car because "It'll be so damn cool," that's your ego.

If you want a person of the opposite sex, not because they are the most beautiful person, in your eyes, but because your friends will die when they see them, that's ego.

Overcoming insecurities isn't difficult, but it is still not easy.

It's like tossing out the debris that useless a-hole "Ego" left for you in your garage.

You'll sweat, you'll cuss, and it might be very uncomfortable at times, but you can do it.

That garbage isn't yours, so don't take ownership of it.

Managing stress in the workplace

My aim in this article is to explain to you how people respond to stress. To manage stress you need to overcome negative self talk. I will explain how one person has trouble in the workplace.

What has happened to 42-year-old Jane? No previous stress attacks or mental-health problems. But she came to me because she was very stressed at work. She felt she was being criticised all the time and that her colleagues did not respect her productivity. She became socially phobic. He has difficulty going out with her husband. She hides away from people when she goes to parties.

Jane is experiencing work stress and this is a major problem. Everything seems to be too much of a burden for her. She is having physical reactions of nausea and illness. Her work demands are too much for her and she can't cope and she feels depressed and anxious all the time.

It is clear that Jane is not very productive or effective at work. She has limited stress management skills and she feels that her system is overloaded. Does this sound like you? Can you empathize with Jane? Do you feel as though things are on top of you? Have you lost the zing in your life and feel tired all the time? I your friends worrying about you? Is your life meaningless? Have you lost the ability to cope? Is your work suffering from how you feel?

If the answer is YES!!! - you are suffering extreme stress. And this is a very common phenomenon in today's high paced society. Some people think that stress is an acceptable bi-product of our busy lifestyle. Research on cardiac disease after the 9/11 attacks showed a significant increase in cardiac ailments. These included high blood pressure, strokes, and heart problems. People's physical states were impacted by their emotional states. And when people are not well emotionally they have difficulty being highly productive at work.

What are these workplace stressors? That is, what are the events that elevate stress? They include a long list of things.

These include excessive workplace demands. Poor management and poor communication in the workplace cause stress. Oddly enough, poor relationships at home can cause workplace stress as much as interpersonal conflict with colleagues.

How do we deal with these pressures? Obviously, the solutions depend on you and your context. Changing jobs is a reasonable but not totally effective alternative. If your Boss is causing you problems, why not list his or her name with a 'headhunter' and perhaps they'll get a job somewhere else? From my experience working in Employee Assistance Programs, the major problem is poor role definition. I think I have a specified list of things to do but my role description doesn't clarify this and my boss has other idea about what I should be doing. Obviously, confronting the issues with the individuals concerned is one simple approach but there are many other ways of resolving this tension, especially if you are committed to taking responsibility for your feelings and actions.

One way to control workplace stress is to recognize the role of negative thinking. There is an old saying that you are what you think so you have to consider your negative thoughts. If you are stressed you can deal with the problem if you try. You must realize that you have to confront negative self talk. How we feel is shaped by how we think. Self talk occupies much of our day.

What I am going to say sounds simple but it is true. We are our own worst enemy because we constantly criticize ourselves. The ratio of negative to positive thought is 10 to 1. Our constant self-criticism causes stress. Our situation can be made worse if our friends and loved ones criticize us. To start to manage workplace stress and personal stress we need to begin by eliminating negative self talk and increasing positive self regard.

It is commonly believed that any kind of negativity in a person's life can prove to be harmful and will lead to the wrong kinds of emotions. However, there are some cases where negative thinking can actually help us in a positive way. Sometimes negative thoughts a person may have will also come with a hidden layer of positivity in them.

But as we spend more time brooding over these negative thoughts then any positive ones we have simply get brushed aside. So it's important that we understand that these negative emotions are not always detrimental and we should instead see them in a more positive way, helping us to deal with life in a better way.

Useful negative thinking can prove extremely beneficial to you. Sometimes the negative emotions and feelings we have tend to bring the best out of us. As the saying goes, opposites attract and therefore negative thoughts also attract positive feelings.

In fact you will find that a certain amount of negative thoughts can be very useful indeed. Also you need to remember is that having such thoughts is completely normal and natural for us. But it is when they become too much that we need to try and avoid them.

There are going to be times when negative thinking leads you to look at yourself more closely and this helps you to then understand your own needs and beliefs better. Every negative thoughts or emotions you have can become a learning experience that teaches you an invaluable lesson about life.

Therefore, you should learn more about the art of choosing to use useful negative thinking. Negative thinking will help you in understanding not just your weaknesses but strengths as well. You can then work on ways that allows you to up these strengths and talents you may have.

However, you should not spend all your time pondering over every single negative thought. Instead one should be working on trying to uncover any hidden messages or meanings that may be contained within these negative thoughts.

You should also maintain a balance between both your negative and positive emotions. Your life is filled with all types of experiences, some of which are can prove to be very painful. GRATITUDE - Yes, I am talking about the "Attitude of Gratitude". The more you focus on the positives of the situation - the more you will notice. And this works vice versa. For example - stop for a second. I want you to look around the room you are in right now and focus on every object that is blue - that's it, start listing them all in your head.
